The Sounding Cave

Many thanks to Madhava Carrara and Margherita Cioffi from Grotta Sonora, who fabricated this beautifully iridescent “Lotus Gong” from their Etruscan cave in the ancient town of Calcata, Italy.   Its next stop will be Skywalker Ranch in northern California, where its powerful and haunting sounds will be recorded for the soundtrack of an upcoming, feature film story set in medieval Tibet, The Magic Circle.
